OUR SERVICES

UTILITIES ASSISTANCE

Lawrenceville Utilities Company customers experiencing hardship can utilize round-up ® funds through the Lawrenceville Response Center to have their past-due balances (up to $1,000) paid via a voucher (one-time only).

TEMPORARY HOUSING VOUCHER

Homeless residents who can verify their location within Lawrenceville city limits and provide documentation may qualify for up to 90 days of emergency shelter via a temporary housing voucher

FIRST HOUSING CENTER

Gwinnett’s first housing center for homeless men- Up to 89 days of stay with mental/behavioral assistance and wrap-around services

OUR PROCESS

You will schedule an appointment date and fill out an application explaining what assistance you will be needing.

During your appointment with our Intake Specialist, you will explain in detail your reasoning for needing assistance with us.

After your appointment, you will receive a link to meet with our case managers and go through the approval process.

After sending all your required documents before your appointment, your Case Manager will verify all your paperwork with you and determine if you are eligible for public assistance.

Once approved the LRC will reach out to their point of contact to your respected service to start the payment process.

 

Required Documents

Residents requesting Eviction Prevention and Utilities assistance are required to send certain documents before their appointments.

    • Supporting Financial Impact document within the past 3 months (ex: Separation notice from employer on letterhead with signature and contact information, unemployment benefits, etc.)  

    • A copy of your past-due City of Lawrenceville Utilities

  • Homeless residents who can verify their location within Lawrenceville city limits and provide documentation may qualify for up to 90 days of emergency shelter via a temporary housing voucher

  • The FHC is a stabilization program for single men that are homeless in Gwinnett County, specifically Lawrenceville, GA. It will provide WRAP around services (clinical and case management) with a housing component.
